Looking for Help For Yourself?

From the outside, no one can tell how much you are struggling. It looks like you have everything going for you. You worked so hard to get where you are in your career, and your life looks good on the outside. You know you should be happy.

But it just isn’t cutting it. No one knows that inside you’re a mess.

The anxiety you experience is impacting so much of your day and might be preventing you from advancing the way you expect yourself to. You know you should be happy, but you’re overwhelmed, and the anxious feelings just seem to be getting worse.

The anxiety is getting stronger and stronger, whether it's a fear of speaking, socializing, an outright phobia, or a need to complete certain tasks to make the anxiety, sometimes even obsessions, go away. It feels like you’ve tried all the self-help suggestions, but nothing has helped. You may have even tried therapy before, but you need more than deep breathing.

You just want relief from all of this pressure and fear.

You’re in the right place.

Looking for Help For Your Child?

Your child is struggling. It hurts to see them live in fear and anxiety, or to just not live up to being the amazing human you know they are. They might be experiencing repetitive thoughts and compulsions (OCD symptoms), having panic attacks, struggling with social anxiety, separation anxiety, or just not moving forward the way you and they had hoped for their lives.

This anxiety is impacting them in so many ways. You watch as they struggle to make friends or connect because when they do have friends, other kids don’t understand. Their grades have gone down, and you worry about how this will affect them long-term.

Your relationship with them is struggling, too. You don’t like how the anxiety affects them and the way they act when their anxiety is telling them to avoid something they have to do. You want what’s best for them, but it can be hard to empathize when you don’t understand their fear.

Your life feels like it is controlled by what’s going on with them, so you have to tiptoe around the compulsions or the fears. It’s scary to see how the fears are affecting them and to feel so powerless to help. You are constantly reassuring them that things are okay. You are exhausted and don’t know what to do.

If things feel this big for you, it must be even harder to be them.

You are doing your best, but your best doesn’t seem to make the difference your child needs.

You are at a loss for how to help them.

Hope for Anxiety

Your Anxiety

You want to know that you can handle whatever comes your way. That your life isn’t going to be controlled by the next obsession or fear.

Most of all, you want peace and to live a life where you feel calm and don’t have to live in fear. You want to have a quiet mind that isn’t constantly thinking about the next scary thing or reliving scenarios over and over.

You want to be in the moment instead of feeling obsessed with the future or the past.

You want to live the life you imagine that others have without fear, anxiety, or obsessions and compulsions.

Your Child’s Anxiety

You want to have a day or week where your life isn’t controlled by your child’s fears or phobias.

You don’t want to worry about when the next panic attack will show up or the next compulsion will develop.

You’d love to have peace in your household. Be able to sleep through the night without getting woken up. Drop your child off at school without having to worry about who is coming home and what state they’ll be in.

You want to know that getting to school tomorrow will be easy, that your kid won’t get upset over what feels like nothing. You don’t want to worry about how this impacts their grades.

You want to let go of the constant waiting for the next fear or incident to happen. You want to be happy for your child.

Most of all, you want better for your child. You want to know that they are going to be okay.

I’m Ryan, Your Therapist For Anxiety and OCD

Ryan Moeller, LMFT

As your therapist, my goal is that by the time we are done working together, you will be able to be your own therapist. My job is to work my way out of a job. I want the time you spend with me to be a time of processing, but also a time of learning.

In therapy with me, I will first focus on empathizing with you and making sure you feel heard and understood. In most cases though, empathy on its own is not enough to make the changes you are looking for.

Once I feel like I have a good understanding of what you are struggling with, we will create a structured treatment plan, and I’ll teach you the skills you need to overcome your problems.

I will give you or your child clear step-by-step directions that will help. If you do the work in the therapy room and at home, we can make some really cool changes in your life.

Most of my clients receive homework and activities to work on between sessions, and these help you to make progress faster.

Therapeutic Services and Specialties I Provide →

  • This therapy modality focuses on changing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to decrease symptoms and help you feel better.

  • This treatment for OCD focuses on resolving the doubts that create obsessions in the first place.

Through our work together, you learn to demystify and disengage with your obsessional story, and reconnect with your senses and your real self.

I-CBT is a great alternative to ERP for those who are not interested in or motivated by exposure therapy. It is also helpful for those who have had some success with ERP but want some additional insight and help with resolving their OCD.

  • This structured, evidence-based approach is focused on helping parents of anxious kids know how to interact with their child to help them lower their anxiety.

  • This OCD treatment focuses on facing your fears in a supportive way while lowering your anxiety and compulsions.

  • TEAM-CBT is a structured, short-term, and goal-oriented approach to therapy that is focused on learning and developing practical skills for depression, anxiety, unwanted habits, and relationship issues.

This is a great approach for people who want to put in the work to quickly get better and get on with their lives. TEAM-CBT is also great for intensives, and for those who really want to roll up their sleeves and get to work and get better.

  • This form of exposure is specifically for panic attacks. It helps you overcome your fears by intentionally bringing on these physical sensations in a safe place. This allows for recovery and healing from panic attacks.

  • Longer therapy sessions allow you to do the work over a short amount of time so that you can achieve healing faster. Instead of a 1-hour session once a week, we do 12-15 hours of therapy in 2-hour-long sessions over a 1-2 week period. This allows us to dig deeper so that you can get better faster.

Help for Anxiety and OCD

While I am still a very warm therapist and we will talk about your history, we’ll spend a lot more time engaging in structured therapy than with some of my counterparts.

The type of therapy that I do often has specific steps and is very helpful for concrete thinkers as well as those who are just looking for relief fast.

I find that the therapy I do gets results quickly, and you don’t need to plan on being in therapy for years and years unless you want to dive deeper once you have achieved symptom relief.
