Therapy for Anxiety, OCD, and related disorders

Evidence-based strategies to recover from worry and anxiety

You may be here because…

  • You struggle with endless ruminating, worrying, and anxiety.

  • Intrusive and frightening thoughts plague your mind, and everything you do to contain or get rid of them only seems to work for a short time.

  • You may be experiencing overwhelming and debilitating panic attacks.

  • Your fears, worries, and anxieties cause you to avoid certain places and situations, causing your life to lose much of its luster.

I am experienced in several anxiety counseling strategies and modalities. A few of my primary approaches are:

  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which states that the way that you think affects how you feel. Recovery comes from you learning to identify and dispute the thoughts causing anxiety, which therefore changes how you feel.

  • Exposure therapy, in which the client is systematically exposed to their fear in a safe manner in order to overcome it.

  • For OCD, I also use Inference-Based CBT (ICBT), a newer form of CBT which aims to resolve the obsessional doubt.
