Intensive Therapy With Ryan

Effective treatment in a shorter amount of time

When most people think of what a typical “dose” of therapy, it is usually a weekly 50-minute session

Life is busy for many of us, and often 50 minutes a week is all we can fit into our schedule. Sometimes, though, your problems are urgent and need to be addressed at a quicker pace. You want to recover, and you want to do so now.

Intensive therapy consists of more frequent, longer therapy sessions over an accelerated pace.

I sometimes describe it as a therapeutic “boot camp” or “summer school”. It is a very active, collaborative, and efficient model of therapy. Much of the work will consistent of active skill building, practicing and arming you with practical tools.

Unlike traditional “intensive” programs, Intensive therapy is individualized and tailored to your exact needs. No group therapy or one-size-fits-all curriculum. It is only me and you working together to get you where you want to be.

I will work with you to collaboratively create your treatment plan. The exact length and schedule of your intensive may depend on your presenting issue and personal logistics, but a common schedule would be 12 hours of therapy over 2 weeks, spread out as two-hour sessions three times a week.

Intensive therapy is NOT a replacement for hospitalization or crisis services.
